The Red Brigade Uprising: Affirms Intensive Class Struggle and Mass Movement Ahead
Wave after wave of crimson troops flooded the heart of Kolkata. For all those who were intimidated, attacked, forged, raped, evicted and vandalized under the autocratic ruling of the Trinamool Congress led coalition government, it was the day for reclaiming their lost independence. The reign of terror across Bengal districts for last nine months of the new government received a big bash by the red brigade today. Every living being that still crawls, creeps even after the rule of terror converged into the Brigade Parade ground.

Massive Historic Rally at Brigade Parade Ground
19th February 2012, witnessed a historic massive rally at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata marking the conclusion of the 23rd State Conference of CPI(M), West Bengal State Committee. This was the first conference after 34 years, when the Left Front government is not in power.

23rd Party Conference Concluded with the Call For Future Struggle
23rd State Conference of the Party has been concluded today with the message of future struggle. A state Committee of 83 members has been elected from the conference.25 resolutions have been passed from the conference. Comrade Biman Basu has been re-elected as the secretary of the C.P.I.(M) State Committee.

Report on the 3rd Day of the Conference
Friday was the third day of the 23rd State Conference of the CPI(M). The discussion by the delegates on the draft political-organizational report is continuing. Till the first session of Friday, 54 delegates have participated in the discussion.

61% of Party Members Come From Poor Families
The political organizational report of the 23rd state conference, having mentioned the class origin of party members in all 19 districts of the state, stated that 15.24% of party members come from working class families; 19.07% are from agricultural workers; and 26.32% of members are from poor farmers’ families.
